Help Bluethumb Artists Host A Popup Exhibition

Exhibiting together for the first time, 3x perennial Bluethumb favourites will deliver a popup exhibition in Sydney with the support of Bluethumb, Australia's largest online art gallery. 

The show is part of a wider series of popup art exhibitions around Australia, which offer Bluethumb artists the opportunity to plan, curate and stage a successful exhibition.

The artists involved are: Kat Las, Ben Tankard and Belinda Nadwie.
 

The exhibition will be held at M2 Gallery, Surry Hills, from Thursday 11 - Monday 15 October.

This Pozible campaign is a crucial part of Bluethumb's mission to empower Australian artists to succeed, through connecting artists with collectors.

The aim is to reach co-funding target of $2,000 of which Bluethumb will pledge $1,000.

About the Artists:

Kat Las - Kat has a love of colour and art. Her longing to be involved in something creative brought her to painting, and fully engrossed her life, few years ago. Kat is often spontaneous, exploring different techniques and applying new styles. She likes quirkiness, bold and vivid colours, but most of all she loves simplicity and calming colours.

Ben Tankard -  hailing from the Blue Mountains, Ben has found recent success with abstract paintings that draw inspiration from the covers of 'Popular Penguin' paperback books, plus the classic Monopoly board, Uno cards, and other pop culture icons. The paintings are distorted representations of the subject matter, transformed with thick brushstrokes and often random lettering, retaining the essence of the original but also becoming something new.

Belinda Nadwie - Belinda creates abstracted landscapes that traverse emotional, psychological and spiritual experience. Working with oil paint, charcoal, spray paint and oil crayons, her paintings are reflections of where she is at any one time. The day, the mood and the inspiration spontaneously come together in a colourful union.

The funds will go towards the cost of hiring the venue, as well as incidental expenses such as signage and transportation of artwork. 

As anyone who has ever staged an exhibition knows, every show is different and comes with its own challenges! That said, the journey is already off to a great start, and together with the team at Bluethumb, our Sydney artist group feel confident for the exhibition ahead of them!
